Kerry, CIA Leak,....

John Kerry's comments on the dismissal of the CIA leaker are not just ignorant and profoundly stupid...they are revealing

"Here's my fundamental view of this, that you have somebody being fired from the CIA for allegedly telling the truth, and you have no one fired from the White House for revealing a CIA agent in order to support a lie".

Let's see:

1. How does Kerry know she told the truth? There's strong possibility that the information leaked was part of a sting operation to find the leak. Thus the story may be false. Besides, whether or not what she said was "true" is quite beside the point, John.

2. The CIA Agent, Valerie Plame was not covert and was thus not outed. The special prosecutor, Patrick Fitzgerald did not file any criminal charges regarding the disclosure of her identity.

3. The "lie" Kerry is referring to is Saddam quest for uranium. There is no longer any doubt that the charge is true. There is also no doubt that Ms. Plame's husband, Joe Wilson did lie about his CIA report on the matter (pardon the pun). In fact Mr. Wilson lied about virtually everything.

The quote is revealing as to how a man like John Kerry can get away saying such a statement. He can get away with it because he knows he will be unchallenged by those in the mainstream media.

Not bad for a single sentence. Oh, one more revelation. This one into the mind of John Kerry. This was his "fundamental view" of the issue. Profound.
